my friend alex and his buds have set up a get together during jazzfest for 'heads and their ilk

Band was good, but the acoustics in that warehouse are trash. They actually sounded better from the street outside. Good concept though, missing shirts notwithstanding.

JRAD was incredible as usual. First set got pretty avant-garde, in a good way. That blues jam in the second set was great too.

I went to JRAD both nights. Cats under the Stars from night one was awesome. Night two the jam leading in to Here Comes Sunshine and then the Blues Jam was killer. I actually thought it was Jesus Left Chicago
