Though he admitted that he hadn't heard the album, he commented: "Anybody that comes back with a double album, to me, needs to pry themselves out of their own a-hole. This is not the '70s, okay? Go and ask Billy Corgan about a double album. Who has the fricking time, in 2013, to sit through 45 minutes of a single album? How arrogant are these people to think that you've got an hour and a half to listen to a fricking record?"

When discussing Arctic Monkeys, Gallagher said that he was a big fan of "half" of their 'AM' LP, saying: "You know, the other half is like, 'Eh, yeah' – but half of it is really fricking good."

Can't disagree with the Arctic monkeys comment

I hate Arcade Fire, but saying they sound "too Canadian" is stupid. Neil Young is Canadian and is one of the greatest ever.

When he plays his Crazy Horse, without a doubt. One of the first jam bands.

This article makes me even less likely to give Arcade Fire a try now.

The funny thing is that you actually think you know what you are talking about.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse are a prototype for a jam band. Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere features two jam staples. You are an idiot.

I haven't listened to the album but I have no problem with a double album. If a band that I loved came out with a double album, I'd be pumped.

I like AF, but that whole interview is gold. As are pretty much all Noel Gallagher interviews.

Their first two albums are superb. They also put on one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Both of these. At least when I saw them in '08, That was one of the most energetic and entertaining shows I've been to to date. Didn't see them in October at the Varsity. They lose me a bit with their studio stuff post-Favourite Worst Nightmare, though. fricking love that album.

No shite, the guy speaks from his heart, and knows his shite. Also, I think a lot what he says is taken out of context, or doesn´t get the full treatment. He´s not a damned bitter codger. He may be a bit codgerly, but he´s within his right.
