I don't think you have a clue what I listen to either, but it's ok, I'm just glad someone came on here to argue about something tbh

I don't know what else I could do to make it any more apparent that I'm being facetious with the whole superior taste thing.

I asked HIM to name 5 bands I listen to in order to illustrate that his claim is silly and without basis. Point made.

Rx Bandits
Opeth
Sepultura
Black Map
Deftones

The Wall is really not a good album.

You have your opinion, I have mine. I think Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is one of the most contrived, pretentious albums ever made (and that is one of the claims made against The Wall). I don't dislike Ziggy Stardust, either. I just prefer The Wall and will take anyone to task who makes a ridiculous statement like "The Wall sucks," because its success and legacy say otherwise.

In what way? Of course it was planned to be a concept album.

All shite, huh? You try too hard. I like how you include a basically unknown independent band like Black Map. They have a total of 4 songs that have been heard by anyone outside of their inner circle.

So was The Wall, which was my point. You can't imply that The Wall is contrived then claim that Ziggy Stardust is amazing and expect to be taken seriously.

I'm also not a big Rx Bandits fan. They have one album that I consider fantastic, Mandala. Beyond that, it's way too ska for my taste. I also don't care for their live show, but they have a couple of very interesting, talented guitarists.

Ziggy had a different, spacey vibe compared to other concept albums.

The Wall took elements of Tommy and especially Quadrophenia and made it even more depressing.

Yeah, they're a new band who have released one EP (with 4 songs) with an LP in the mixing/mastering stage.
