I was riding the exercise bike yesterday, listening to Liquid Metal on Sirius, and Dave was the interview guest. He mentioned the book a couple of times, I probably will pick it up soon.

One of the greatest trash albums of all time. I was lucky enough to see them perform the entire album in its entirety in 2010 on the Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax tour(2nd Clash of the Titans). Slayer played all of Seasons in the Abyss. What a night.

I saw the Rust in Peace tour in 2010 - but it was just Megadeth and Slayer.

Countdown is still my favorite.

Looking through the track listing on RiP, I do love them all, but there are a few I don't really have to hear again: Poison Was the Cure, Dawn Patrol and Five Magics. However, the murderer's row of Holy Wars, Lucretia, Hangar 18 and Take No Prisoners...sheesh!

The thing I always loved the most about Megadeth was how exciting they were on first listen - when they came out with a new song, it was always so instantly "that's Megadeth!".

I 100 percent disagree here. That is 2 minutes of absolute greatness. The way it builds from a plodding tempo into an out of control freight train and ends with a ridiculous solo is awesome. Every time I’m driving along down the interstate listening to it, I inevitably look down and see my speedometer passing 100.
