Any fans in here? If not, you need to check her out, she is amazingly talented. One of the best singer/songwriters of the last 15 or so years. Her touring bands are always amazing as well.

She's terrific, as is the "supergroup" she's a part of, the New Pornographers. AC Newman knows how to use her voice to make a song better.
All of her old albums have just been release on vinyl as a big box set. That seems like a good purchase.

I have never been able to get into the New Pornographers, I've tried a couple of times, but they seem to be pretty well liked. As a solo artist she is one of my favorites.

I like her newer stuff just fine but am partial to her early Alt-country first couple of albums released as "Neko Case and Her Boyfriends" (albums - The Virginian and Furnace Room Lullaby).
This video from that era is pretty fun.

I loved Letters From an Occupant so much that I knew I had to check out her solo stuff. While I don't hate it, I don't love it either. So, a fan of her in The New Pornographers, but not really of her solo stuff. OTOH, when it comes on Outlaw Country, I do not change the station.

NK is in my top 5 all time.
Whoever had my favorite live version of Hold On, Hold on took it off youtube recently.

That was my favorite era of Neko, as well...
But I also like her newer stuff and really like the New Pornographers... her voice fits in perfectly with Newman's pop songs...
