Springsteen - Born in the USA

Wrong Born song.

Abba-Dancing Queen
Cheap Trick-Surrender
Deep Purple-Smoke on the Water
Nirvana-Smells Like Teen Spirit
The Band-The Weight
Eagles-Hotel California
Warren Zevon-Werewolves of London
The Who-Won't Get Fooled Again
Blue Oyster Cult-Don't Fear the Reaper

Iconic does not mean your favorite. Outside of Surrender, none of these songs are my favorite from these artists. Iconic means most recognizable by the casual fan. A good way to describe iconic is if you call in to your local radio station and request a particular artist without requesting a particular song, what song would that station play. I tried to stay away from the obvious one hit wonder types like Dexy's Midnight Runners or Soft Cell. There are actually very few acts that this is nondebatable for. Even something that seems as cut and dried as Free Bird or Bohemian Rhapsody can be countered with Sweet Home Alabama or We Are the Champions.

Smashing Pumpkins- Disarm; but I'd wager Mayonaise is a more (and far better) iconic tune.

I’d say most would think Bullet w/ Butterfly Wings
And a true fan would say Disarm/Mayonaise
