I agree with you..I don't dislike Mumford & Sons, but they don't do anything for me..I feel the same way about the Avett Bros. too. I prefer straight-up bluegrass or someone like Billy Bragg...The Pogues, too. But that's me.

Not neccesarily my favorite of 2012 but "Some Nights" by fun. is definitely one I am fond of and never thought I would be

Because Mumford and Sons uses the exact same progression in literally every single one of their songs. Starts out slow, and deep, builds into an epic fast strumming climax, then settles back down. I like M&S, but that's how all their songs go.

2 of mine as well. I saw Pat Green a couple of weeks ago w/ Sons of Fathers. It was a great show. Their album is very good as well, but they are even better live.
