That shite is for like 16 year old trailer trash

Baggadix' parents moved the family out of the trailer park when he was a HS freshmen. So he's better than that 16 year old kid, AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN.

Notice I didn't list them as a favorite band. I absolutely agree about their previous work. I actually walked out of the venue when I saw them several years ago (pre-Mandala). However, you can clearly hear the influences from their time with The Sound of Animals Fighting. Mandala is more progressive than ska.

Seriously, it took me a few listens to get over the fact that it was Rx Bandits, but it is an absolutely fantastic, well-written album. The interlacing is very delicate and intricate.

I'm convinced they'd be more popular if they were British or American.

My friend (who definitely has a bad taste in music) begged me to go to a RX Bandits show a few years ago. He was so desperate he bought me and another buddy tickets free of charge.

The opening act was a bad sign. Emo screamo bullstuff. Then the Bandits came on. I lasted about 5 minutes before bailing and going to a strip club on Bourbon for an hour. Returned right before the encore and my friend never noticed.

One of the worst shows I've seen. It was at New Orleans HOB in summer 2009 or '10 can't remember.

They toured with dredg in 2009, but I don't see how they'd be emo/screamo. I do think Zech's Marquise opened that show, then dredg played, and finally Rx Bandits. Zech's Marquise is definitely bizarre, but I don't think they're screamo or emo in any way.

"Screamo/emo" is a descriptor phans use to describe anything that isn't phish or electronic.

It's really only a term that I reserve for bands like The Rigs

the point he's trying to make is that if you listen to music like dredg, RX Bandits, and Porcupine Tree, you are most likely a pre pubescent punk hipster twat or BR white trash

Oh yeah, hence your using it to describe Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Mew, and dredg... Basically, this thread has verified that you area typical Phan with no concept whatsoever of musical diversity or influence.

You're trolling is reaching new lows. Basically, you just keep acting more and more stupid and expecting it to bother me. The only problem is, you're the stupid one in the whole dance, so it's never going to bother me. Even when you try to attack my list of bands, you do it so ignorantly as to neuter your own credibility. Congrats, you have reached Troll Level 0.

I wouldn't classify myself as a phish phan when it comes to jam bands although I go to the shows. I'm a deadhead and bisco kid first and foremost.

I enjoy all genres. I was at Sasquatch music festival last summer and there were zero jam bands present (except Mogwai). I prefer Jazz over any genre of music even jam bands. What else do you think you know about me?

This morning I have listened to John Coltrane, Gregory Issacs, Flock of Seagulls, LCD Soundsystem, Eric Johnson, Love, Santana, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Elton John, and more.

I'd say the same thing if I were a Rigs fanboy. I bet you sit on the Doc's bass while he slaps it for you.

Hey look at me, I listen to ICELANDIC and SCANDINAVIAN music no one has ever heard of. Bjork and Sigur Ros are like the coolest bands ever even though everyone falls asleep at the shows. I'm obscure and no one in this redneck town understands me
