Rascal Flatts
Emmylou Harris
Dolly Parton

I like Rascal Flatts. What's wrong with Rascal Flatts?

Hank 3, David Allan Coe, Willie Nelson and Blackberry Smoke. EFF the rest

Hmmm..... Don't know about that... just know that I like their lead singer's vocal styling... it's very recognizable.

Strangely, I like Dolly Parton because she is ULTRA-country.
I forgot Hank Williams, Sr. I like him, too, because he's the epitome of country to me. Hank Jr., on the other hand, can go choke on a pretzel and it would be about the same to me.

Hank SR set the standard for country music. My exceptions are
Waylon Jennings
Johnny Cash
Merle Haggard
Willie Nelson
Billy Joe
George Jones
Conway
Loretta Lynn(best female country artist of all time
Lefty
Townes Van Zandt
Jason Isbell
Ryan Adams
Sturgill Simpson
Trampled by Turtles
Ryan Bingham
Holly Williams(Hank Williams Clan)
Nikki Lane
Lucinda Williams
Jason Eady
John Moreland
Ray Wylie Hubbard
American Aquarium
Steve Earle in the earlier days
Whiskey Meyers
Some of the good Texas bands like
Wade Bowen
Randy Rogers
Hayes Carll
Cory Morrow
Bart Crow
Fullbright
Zane Williams
Sam Briggs
Turnpike Troubodors even though they are from Okla
Same with Stoney Larue
William Clark Green
Uncle Lucius
Sunny Sweeney
Jamey Johnson
Jeff Allen
Adam Hood
Mayeaux & Broussard(new swamp funk/pop band out of austin)
only mainstreams that I can stomach are:
Eric Church which is actually not bad I use to not care for him but his last two albums were good and great live
ZBB
Gary Alan
Lee Brice
Randy Houser
Chris Young
Dierks Bentley but he is flying towards the bro country side. He is good just needs to have a reality check.

They still aren't as bad as FGL, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, etc as far as the Nashville Pop stuff goes. Although that's not saying much.

I equate them to Lonestar
Pure pop country. Not as bad as the bro country, agreed.

I like those hybrid kinds of music: blues rock, country pop, Southern rock, etc. I guess the purists of those genres might cringe when they hear it, but a lot of good music has come from the hybrids.

The hybrids that you list mesh well . Hip hop and country don't and that's not a knock on hip hop
