Anybody else like these bands? They seem to be helping to spearhead a rock revival.

All have very good vocalist and heavy on traditional rock guitar. Catching a lot of Soundgarden influence in Joyous Wolf. A good bit of The Black Crowes in Dirty Honey and a mix between Steely Dan and I can’t really put my thumb on who else with Mac Saturn.

All refreshing throwbacks compared to what has been put out in the rock genre the last 20 years.

I asked a question. The question was for anyone familiar with the bands. If you are interested in checking them out, have at it.

I saw Dirty Honey in Chattanooga. Great band. To me, they sound like early Aerosmith. Joyous Wolf opened. Sounded great also. You should add Rival Sons to the group of bands that have an old school rock sound.

Thanks. I’ll check them out. I am trying to steer my 17 year old son to some good young bands. He and his friends have gotten into GVF and I am chaperoning him and a buddy at the Beale Street Music Festival in a few weeks. Looked at the Saturday lineup and saw Mac Saturn and checked them out. Did a little research on them and it led down a little path to discovering Dirty Honey and Joyous Wolf.

Love those bands. I’d also recommend South of Eden

Yes to Dirty Honey and Joyous Wolf. Have seen both at the HOB New Orleans on different occasions (DH was pre-covid and before they hit a next level and JW was 3/30/22). Both really good, but sadly JW's lead singer just quit the band....so I doubt they'll be anything close to what they were....good performer and stage presence.

Will have to check out Mac Saturn
