Not as much as it was a f&%k you to Nashville bro country. Zac Brown wanted to experiment with playing different genres, so he made it as a concept album. "Mango Tree" is a tribute to the Rat Pack, "Castaways" is a tribute to Jimmy Buffet's music, "Tomorrow Never Comes" was his attempt to mimic Mumford & Sons. In order to get the album made, he had to have a single on it, so "Homegrown" was his stereotypical Nashville single while "Beautiful Drug" was a parody of Nashville pop country.
Heavy is the Head and Junkyard were what he really wanted to play, rock music, and both of those tracks are freaking awesome.

Umm it was no parody. Zac brown seriously thought they could make a crossover edm song and it flopped because it sucked balls.
