Low - a little known band that I'd like to turn you on to...

Low is a minimalist band out of Duluth Minnesota on Sub Pop records which a friend turned me on to and I actually got to see them live in Duluth. Their genre is "slowcore", and they have a sound which is sort of between Portishead and Dead Can Dance.
I really love this vid Especially Me.
Ones and Sixes is their newest release.
If THIS guy looks familiar, it's because it's John Stamos who is friends with the band.
Another good song and vid is Monkey.
They're worth a peek if you hadn't heard of them.

One of my all time favorite bands. Funny you posted this as I was just pulling this to start my listening today.
An oldie but a favorite album of theirs. I'm a HUGE fan of the album C'Mon as well. Just an all around fan of this band.

I like Low a lot, but I definitely have to be in the mood..
In regards to "Slowcore," I've always preferred Codeine and Bedhead..

Saw Slowdive Friday .... Wasn't too familiar with them. Low played the Spanish moon I know in the late 90s and more recently I believe

Things We Lost in the Fire is one of my favorite albums ever. To me, they're completely different from Codeine and Bedhead.

I agree, thats why I prefer those two... but they were all part of that slowcore movement of the 90s..
I like Low, though...
Another very underrated band of that era, was Idaho (RIP John Berry)
