For a front man? He's been an icon, love him or hate him.

Just remembered Izzy. Scratch Bono. Insert Ozzy

Now we agree. Never Say Die is still one of their best IMO. ??

It was over by the time of this performance, but Ozzy's energy is contagious: Geezer dealing fat beats.

Never Say Die

Not gonna lie. I’ve gotten pretty big into oasis’ catalog over the last year. Was never into them much as a kid even though my teenage years coincided perfectly with their run. Liam absolutely had a cocksure persona that was pretty solid for a frontman.

I’ve discussed this before with a few people. My personal opinion on criteria are a few items like 1) is the front man easily recognizable and synonymous with said band & 2) is there synergy between the front man and the band.

Again, this is my personal criteria and to each his own.

Based upon this, my top 5 in no particular order are:
1. Freddie
2. Morrison
3. Jagger
4. Bono
5. David Lee Roth

Another pretty subjective topic, for me it would probably be in no particular order:

Plant
Ronnie Van Zant
Roth
Jagger
Daltrey

There are numerous others I could consider so my list could change from time to time though Plant and Zant would always be on it.

It's a joke about Liam G. being a top 5 rock front man. RJD was a GOAT front man.

On a serious question, what are the bands that are still "young" enough that a reunion could legitimately capture some of the old magic and would get tons of attention/excitement?

I have to think Oasis is high on that list.

And Prince

I've seen maybe two, three performers/front men in my life that could match Jagger's raw energy for an entire show and one of them was Prince. I'm 54 and have been attending live shows since the mid 70's.

Great thing about live music though is that it's not always about raw energy. A great front man knows how to ebb and flow with the music.
