Seen him a couple of times. Opened for The Cult in Dallas 91-92ish. Great show.

Saw him again at The HORDE Fest in Ennis, TX, bout 1996-97. He was 2nd or 3rd act, blazing Texas summertime heat on a racetrack. He comes out in a full polyester suit, dancing and shite. He gets about 5 songs in and has a heat stroke. Didn’t finish the set

I was at that show. I was wondering if anyone ever remembered that. I think he made it longer than 5 songs but he definitely passed out due to the heat shortening his set. I had never seen that before. He was so great before he passed out. He just fell down & the stage hands drug him off the stage. I actually felt kind of bad for Blues Traveler as they closed the show & so many people left during their set due to a long day in the heat & Dave Matthew Band played before them. I still have that T-shirt.
