I saw Lee Bains and the Glory Fires at Chelsea's a while back when they opened for Futurebirds, and they rocked. If I were in BR, I'd def be there. Check it out.

Yep, that was a great show.
Lee has been doing well, touring with the Alabama shakes.

My buddy moved to BR recently and now works the door at Chelsea's. Was my first time going there(Oct 12th) and I really dug it.
The gumbo sucked however.
Like the info you put out about this band... will check it out.

It's the Turnpike Troubadours of grilled cheeses. Disappointed you will not be.

I wanted to sample the gumbo its a thing i do.
The grilled chicken bacon swiss sammich or whatever it was was tasty.
Very cool place and would love to see a show there.
The new posters advertising for the local talent is also kick arse.

Too loud for Texas? Fort Worth venue pulls plug on Birmingham's Lee Bains & Glory Fires mid-show for noisy play
Seriously. Go check out this band.

Anyone accusing Birmingham-based rockers Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires of playing too loud wouldn't necessarily be wrong. It happens.
But one venue in Fort Worth, Texas, thought precisely that Bains and his band played a little too loud, so they pulled the plug on the group in the middle of their performance Wednesday night.
Seriously. Go check out this band.

review from the crowd last night:
quote:
Alright let me explain: if you're not here you won't understand. Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires, live, are nothing like their records. I am completely blown away. Holy crap, the face melting has stopped, they are off stage, and that's a travesty. I can't wait to see them again. I came to see Austin Lucas and was blown away before he even took the stage. Now it's time for another amazing band. I could die happy tonight.
