They put the kit at the bottom of a stairwell with microphones 3 stories up to get that sound. The song was also recorded at one speed, then slowed down later. For its day, the song was heavily processed and that is why it sounds unearthly at times.

Great song. Actually the only decent song on the album.

You guys are insufferable with this. Yes, they took old blues songs, used the lyrics, and made it their own.

Yes, they didn't give people song credits until they were forced to. They should have.

Its still great music. Let it go.
