Had heard Ragweed and Forever before, listening to the rest now, pretty damn good. Not really country at all, pretty much just rock now, good song writing.

Playing August 10 in Alexandria and Bulls, Barrels and Bands, planning on making the trip up, does a badass live show

Im confident in saying that Koe is the worst Texas/Red Dirt artist of all time.

I liked some of his last album so I’ll check this one out. His voice wears on me after a song or two though.

His first ever EP is my favorite album of his. Only on iTunes though.

I remember seeing him with 10-15 people at the bar. Now every show is sold out. Wild to see how big he has become.

Yeah its crazy, I saw him a while back in Austin opening up for Randy Roger's and noone knew who he was. Loved his show and since then he has blown up.

Would love to see him and Parker together

For any Koe fans on the board I highly recommend checking out Giovannie and the Hired Guns.

Went to the same school as Koe, Bingham, etc..

For those that are Koe fans, what’s your demographic? Is everyone either in college or has just graduated from college in the past 3 to 4 years?

How is he even liked? I don’t live in Texas, but I love the music and know the scene and he’ll, people talk shite and have dropped acts like Aaron Watson and Josh Abbott because their music has changed and isn’t “country enough” for them, and yet Koe comes around and is the farthest thing from country music. Hell, he isn’t even southern rock like Whiskey Myers it an American Aquarium. It’s pure rock music. This new album would be loved by Nirvana fans of the early 90s.

Is he just big because he says frick in almost every song, references cocaine in over half his songs, talks about getting drunk, getting drunk and fricking some strange, and of course the dumb arse song about him and the cops at Taco Bell.

I'm born in 83, huge Nirvana fan

I like all music though, Randy Rogers Band is my favorite country, listen to a lot of rap, J Cole and some Post Malone

John Mayer, probably all time favorite artist

Dig that new Halsey song too...

I'm all over the place and I'm a 35 year old white Male accountant

Same. I’ve caught him in the past opening for other acts around central Texas.

For me he’s really hit or miss. His good songs are really good but his other stuff doesn’t do it for me. But he’s certainly carved out a space on his own. He’s playing at the varsity in August, I think. I’ll definitely go to the show if I’m in town.

That said I have and still do wear the shite out of “Austin” “I’ll be Fine” and “Shadow People” on my playlist.

Edit: varsity show is October 3rd. Just listened to the new album and really enjoyed it (minus Sancho).

I saw Koe at the Larry Joe Taylor Fest several weeks ago ... probably the biggest audience of the week (larger than Randy Rogers, Roger Creager, RWH, comparable to Josh Abbot).

But his music is not country / Texas country by any stretch.

Regarding demographics, it was definitely college age.

I’m 28.

You don’t know the scene then bud. Like I said earlier, I was watching Koe play in bars back in 2012. His old stuff is country music and that’s what I enjoy the most. His newer stuff isn’t bad, but the old stuff is the best.

JAB sucks a dick and you couldn’t pay me to see him in concert. I’ve met him multiple times and he’s a douche. Aaron watson’s New album is incredible. I got away from AW for whatever reason but he does not have a bad album.

I'm 31. I wouldn't say that I'm a huge fan, and there are plenty of Texas/red dirt/Americana acts that I prefer. I liked the last 2 albums better than the new one, but maybe it will grow on me. My wife and I go to 2 or 3 concerts a month, it's pretty much our hobby. So seeing someone we're not die hard fans of isn't unusual.

If anyone is interested, he is playing the varsity next Thursday, I'll be there

If you dont know his music, its rock with some country influence, puts on a badass show, one of the best I've seen, 5 times now, better every time. Dude is an entertainer and a fan of jack Daniel's.
