Katy, TX folks...tell me about the Wildcatter Saloon.

When I'm on my patio, I can hear music coming from this place. I've never been there. Periodically they book bands that were big years ago. I just looked up to see who I was hearing tonight, and it's Saving Abel. Saliva was there a couple weeks ago. Back in the spring Sir Mix-a-lot was there. Autograph and Trapt shows are coming up later this month.
Which leads me to my question: What kind of place is this? All I know is that they were featured on Bar Rescue.
Anyone have any first-hand knowledge of this intriguing establishment?

Exactly what I thought you were talking about.
I've visited and drove by Katy a lot the past few years but I've never made it to this place, but watching Bar Rescue often, I figured it's a nice place. and it's pretty crazy they're able to book bands like Saving Abel and Saliva there. Guess they're doing well.

Curious about this myself. Every so often I like to ride somewhere like that that's not too far for a few days. A lot of times when I do that, I'll go somewhere for a show. Been seeing them on the tour schedules of some of the bands I like, and keep thinking of getting over there for a show sometime.

The two Houston/KAty bars from Bar Rescue are mixed. The guy who owns it now is one of the body building goofballs who was on Bar Rescue with his sports bar.
The guy who was on the show for Wildcatter apparently sold it tothis guy. The sports bar that was featured flopped as it was a terrible location. Wildcatter is OK now. Seems like much less of a biker crowd. Whether that is by this new owners design or just my one night experience with the place? I don't know.
The place is HUGE!! Indoor bar small bridge over a gully/canal to an outdoor stage and patio for the smokers.
The indoor bar is huge also. The night we went they had karaoke and a George Strait tribute band outside. The band was good and the people singing karaoke were serious.
The owners wife is there and she is the hot blonde from that Bar Rescue episode covering the sports bar. So there's that.
We had a good time. It was pre Covid though. No idea what they are doing regarding Covid.

Been once for a daytime corporate event.... it was as trashy in the day as I can only imagine it is at night.
Would never go back again. Make sure your tetanus shot is up to date if you do.

Don’t know if I helped... to each his own, but def not my type of place.
At night I can imagine it’s where the late 40s/50s divorced women with tats go to relieve their glory days while listening to Ratt... all while their babysitter watches the kids and mainlines heroin
