May 14th in Nashville with Drowning Pool and Alien Ant Farm. I haven’t bought a ticket yet. No original members in Saliva. Obviously Dave Williams of DP died years ago at the height of their popularity.

I liked Saliva’s music back in the day, but it’s not the same without Josey Scott.

I have seen Drowning Pool with 2 different singers, neither of which were Dave Williams, and they were ok. Never cared for Saliva or Alien Ant Farm.

So it’s a saliva cover band.

I’m not gonna get all high and mighty and pretend I don’t have several saliva tracks on my workout playlists.

I’m not going see a saliva cover band.

If you have to be convinced: there is your answer. Don’t go.

I can’t justify it at all. I can’t defend a band that has no original members & still tries to pass themselves off as that band.

I’m planning on going to Louder Than Life anyways and they’re both there on Sunday. Might wait and check them at a distance. KoRn, Priest, Staind and Gojira play same day.

The correct term here would be a “tribute band”.

In no way whatsoever does this sound appealing.

alajones2 and I saw them in Bossier a couple of years ago and they rocked it. I didn’t know the lead singer wasn’t the original. He sounded just the same.

I saw them in Houma in 2012. Josey had just left but most of the main guys were still there.

Bobby Amaru – lead vocals
Wayne Swinny – guitars, backing vocals
Dave Novotny – bass, backing vocals
Paul Crosby – drums

This was the lineup. Bobby is still there but Wayne died, and both Paul and Dave left. Saliva ain’t saliva anymore.

It’s truly wild that a lead singer that came way after their prime would keep the name alive by himself

Is Wayne’s family still collecting residuals or something? Only reason I could see the originals really going for it.
