Ha! I wish. It was at the Arcade Fire after party at ACL last year. Although we had just watched an Arcade Fire show so it was ALMOST as good as sex.

I was afraid to talk to him but he was very gracious, kind and soft-spoken.

I would never buy a Huey Lewis album, but I bet they do put on a good show-- just straight-forward, technically proficient, upbeat rock.

off topic, I thought Huey Lewis did a good job in the movie Duets a few years back when he played Gwyneth Paltrow's dad.

I ended up not going yesterday but they are playing a secret free show downtown tonight so I am on my way there now. I'm excited!

The secret show was at The Rattle Inn, which is owned by Ray Benson (from Asleep at the Wheel). It was mostly just a jam session, with Ray doing most of the singing. It was free so I'm not really complaining. Huey sang a few and his voice still sounds great. It was neat to see those two play together and in such an intimate setting.

Huey had a hell of an underrated voice behind all those dooshy lyrics. Kind of like Hall..

or was it Oates?
