Really surprising as I've always heard he's one of the nicest, most genuine guys in the music industry

Seriously?

He's known to be a raging a-hole. The stories are endless.

Not that I give a shite.

did he kick her in the actual face? no.. but its a distinction without a difference really...

I've already argued this point. There is a distinction because if he just kicked some random person not holding a camera in the head for no reason this would be a much bigger deal.

And if you think that's a hard kick, wow. It was a "I'm annoyed with you, go away" kick. Not a "im going to knock your teeth in" kick "to the face" that everyone is up in arms about. Was it a dick move? Of course. Do I believe he was trying to cause serious injury? No.

Come on - she’s holding a metal box to her eye and he kicked it into her.

If you really are going to make that distinction to excuse it, you might want to think about your life a bit.

No, he didn’t Kevin gates style boot her in the face — but he walked up to an unsuspecting woman that was doing her job and for all reasonable purposes of discussion kicked her in the face. That it wasn’t direct shoe to skin, and he could have done it harder are pretty lame distinctions to be grasping at. Frankly the camera may have hurt more than the shoe wouldve

I don't make assumptions as to what he was trying to do in the end. He is an arse on stage to people doing stupid shite. He kicked out a band mate for mostly domestic abuse. It doesn't fit his character to do something like this in malice.

I'm not making the distinction to excuse it. I'm making the distinction because what all media outlets are reporting is a hyperbole of what actually happened and it is sad that they can't just speak the truth. He kicked the camera. The injured person said the same thing. But every article says she was kicked in the face. Once again, there is a big difference in kicking an object next to someone's face than kicking someone's face directly. The latter makes a strong case for intent to injure. The former may not.

Yeah, probably. But it's easy to analyze crap like this in hindsight. What I see is a drunk person negligently kick a camera, and may have not thought about the consequences of his actions which hurt someone.

I've been to other shows where musicians have tried to take cameras from professional videographers and both were almost injured. This is a case of dumbassery that ended in a bad way.

“Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age sent two people in the photo pit to the medic last nite. One was photographer Chelsea Lauren who posted a video of getting kicked in the head that is just shocking in it’s casual approach to violence. The other victim was a security guard who got a light kicked into the back of his head. Never in all my years have I seen such a bully on stage. He also insulted Muse and sliced his own face open with a knife. When you have no talent you have to get attention by being a moron. He’s banned and this is the last time I will shoot him.”

He actually kicked a camera and a light into two people's heads. What an a-hole.

Maybe there's more context here, but from watching the video it looks like a complete a-hole move.

I'm a fan of the JH & his various projects, but I hope this costs him money.

Wait I thought his apology about kicking other things like "lights" was BS?
