Bout to pack up and make the journey from the mountains to the Front Range. It's gonna be a zoo down there tonight, but I'm ready for it.
Before anyone asks me in the lot, no I don't have any Phishdicks tickets.
Who else is coming to the Rocks tonight?

Very jealous. Saw them at Lockn this past weekend, and they didn't disappoint.

One hell of a ride that was last night. They put the hammer down and take you wayyyyyy out there from first song onward. No messing around in the first set. New Speedway Boogie was the whole first set I'm pretty sure.
They ended with Morning Dew as a steady rain fell. You could hear the pitter patter of rain drops on people's jackets during the a capella vocals during Dew.
The quiet and stillness of the moment with the rain falling...whew. What a f'ing time.

It was what those of us in the scene colloquially refer to as a "heater".

Sounds like I need to go back and give it a listen.

They worked in a Harry Hood jam segment. It's unreal how tight, yet fluid, they are as a whole.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead headlined Red Rocks without bassist Dave Dreiwitz, who is back on assignment with Ween. Instead, it was Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge filling in for the show that included some lengthy and creative jams as the band comes off of two electric late night sets at Lockn’. Along with a lengthy opening jam in “Here Comes Sunshine,” the band split up “New Speedway Boogie” for the first time, foraying into a number of “Music Never Stopped” jams as well as “Dancing in the Streets” before returning to the original tune. Burbridge led the charge on “Box of Rain” before the “He’s Gone” and “Truckin’” combo closed the set.
After a fiery “Jack Straw” to open the second set, JRAD once again took “Feel Like a Stranger” into a lengthy improv that included a unique jam that played on one of the sections of Phish’s “Harry Hood” as the recognizable groove found its way into the band’s Dead material.
The rest of the show proved to be quintessential JRAD as the group transitioned from “China Cat Sunflower” to “The Eleven” and an energetic “The Wheel” (which included a brief jam of Donovan’s “There Is A Mountain” as a nod to the venue) as well as “I Know You Rider” before “Greatest Story Ever Told” and an anthemic “Morning Dew” closed the set. JRAD then returned for an a capella closer of “And We Bid You Goodnight.”

Tapers got turned away by Red Rocks, apparently. Band had told them to let tapers in.
Patiently waiting on JRAD to post the SBDs.
