Why does Jazzfest end at 7pm? I've only been a few times but it never ended that early before.

It has ended around 7 for as long as I remember. Mostly I guess this is due to neighborhood concerns and fact that for years jazz fest would put on night shows.

Neighborhood issues and police manpower. It's a lot easier to get 150,000 people, many drunk, out during daylight than night.

Plus it basically goes on all night anyway. You just go to after shows, which is the best part.

Would be nice if it went longer. You are paying 70 bucks for about 7 hours of enjoyment

Everyone needs some time to rest before those late night sets that make Jazz Fest what it really is.

It's always ended that early. There used to be official night time concerts at various venues, including a big tent along the riverfront and UNO's arena. Maybe you're thinking about those.
