Enough. But they're not really looking to frick with people.

Be somewhat discreet.

Not sure, but, again, just be careful.

just don't put them anywhere you get pat down. if you bring a backpack, hide them in there inside a rolled up towel or something.

they will card at booths but nobody will frick with you if you have alcohol on you as long as you aren't acting a fool.

also if it has rained within the time that jazzfest has begun, bring shitty arse shoes you don't mind getting fricked up.

I was getting shitfaced on $7 Miller and $12 soco and limes when I was 15 at the fairgrounds. No one gives a frick.

As far as drugs just use common sense

General rules of thumb when it comes to illicit activities:

1. DON'T DO IT outside of Jazz Fest. Cops outside of Jazz Fest are just praying for some young punk to give them an excuse to tazer them, ticket them, and/or arrest them.

2. Beer booths do card.

3. Cops inside jazz fest literally give zero fricks. At 17, one offered me a six'r of Bud Lite and a toke and toasted me with his beer. Smoke and drink to your heart's content assuming you can get beer from someone who is 21 (which isn't difficult).

I never go to Jazz Fest without a hat, poncho, sunscreen (which I apply and then generally leave in the car), water, and sunglasses. It really is needed on the hot days. If I don't care about being close to the stage, I will sometimes bring a chair as well. To avoid packing a backpack (although if you choose to, a Camelback is your best friend), I often wear cargo shorts (I know, I'm that guy ) so I can carry more stuff in the pockets.

So for underage drinking, just be careful and not act stupid and cops won't stop you/care.

pretty much. Don't get belligerent in Jazz Fest and don't be in possession or looking especially drunk/high outside of Jazz Fest.
