104.9 is the only worth a damn one, and its hit or miss.

Is the demand for "alternative" country just not there, or do radio stations just prefer to cater to 12 year olds?

They play what they think people want to hear.

The problem is, if that's all people are hearing, they don't know what they're missing.

It's a vicious cycle.

frick you for making me think of this song. Ruined my night. Now go repent by drinking a fifth of whiskey and listening to Haggard all night.

94.9 is where its at. Its out of Raceland so it fades the closer you get to Baton Rouge, but you can get it pretty good in Dutchtown though.

104.9 has effectively done what every other station does, suck. They play a few good songs here and there, but they mainly play pop country from the 70s and 80s; Bellamy Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Mickey Gilley, Glen Campbell, and WAAAAYYY too much women country.

I'll try to make em. I've been known to enjoy beers and good music.

Slick, I have a 6 foot antenna on my truck. I think I'll be able to catch it

Around the same time CMT started airing reruns of Cribs and Pimp My 18-Wheeler and started featuring artists with eyeliner and women's jeans.

...I miss the days when the women were ugly and the men were all forty years old...
