Anyone seen him lately? He's coming to Biloxi in March and I was wondering if he still had a voice etc.

He’s coming to Nashville. Sounds like a lot of acoustic stuff.

He’s a poet and a musician. Not really a vocalist and range is not outstanding so he can likely go on forever.

I grew up in the 70s/80s and although I liked him, I never really gave him much thought.

Then I heard an acoustic version of The Birds of St. Marks in the movie "Reign On Me" (one of those serious Sandler movies, but not bad and with a GREAT soundtrack).

This made me go out and get his "Acoustic Volume One" album, then on to "Two". Now he's a favorite.

Go check him out.

Fun fact, Jackson Browne wrote that song when he was only 18 years old....the man is a song writing genius.

Also the intro to that song on that acoustic album is hilarious, the guy in the crowd yells out “Do you remember Birds of St. Marks?!” And he obliges the man and plays it after making a couple of jokes.

I think his story about "Peaceful Easy Feeling" is pretty funny too. As many know, Browne and Glenn Frey co-wrote "Take It Easy". However, JB said that often in concert folks will request "Peaceful", mistaking that as the song he co-wrote with Frey. He said that he eventually just started playing it, but one night someone in the crowd corrected him when he sang "I found out a long time ago, what a woman can do for your soul". The guy yelled out "it's 'what a woman can do TO your soul!'".

He said, "oh, well that makes more sense!"

Saw him a couple of years ago in Houston, good show but he pretty much didn’t play the old stuff. If you’re looking to relive those old favorites you might be disappointed
Still sounds great though
