If I want to buy an album right now on iTunes using my iphone, will the album automatically go to iTunes on my computer or will I have to sync?

go to settings on your iPhone, and one of the options is iCloud. if you have it turned on and logged in, it will automatically sync. if you aren't using icloud, you should start.

It doesn't let me choose a simple yes or no. There's a list of different things that either say yes or no. iTunes is not on the list though.

I found where you can do yes or no for backup. I switched it to say yes and a pop up came up and said songs, pics, etc will no longer be synced when plugged in so I went back to the off setting.

open iTunes
go to Edit > Preferences
Choose the Store tab

The first section asks if you want to automatically download purchases from other devices, and allows you to select apps, music and books. Select Music

You may also want to check the boxes in the bottom section that asks to automatically check for downloads and automatically download preorders

you can also set up your phone to automatically download purchases made on your computer:
Open settings
go to iTunes & App Store
turn Automatic downloads of music and apps to ON
