one 15 second commercial every 5-10 songs on pandora where i can select the genre of music..is way better than some disc jokey/clear channel corporate system selecting tracks and what appears to be roughly 50/50 split commerical/music every hour.
i dont see a future for ota radio.

Oh don't get me wrong, the internet radio stations are a great thing and could come to wipe out radio stations. I won't argue there. But there are still several quality stations out there depending on where you are.

In all seriousness, there are still PLENTY of stations playing what you want to hear. They outnumber the amount of pop stations.
Nope.
Similar to Andre, outside of WWOZ and WTUL in N.O. and KLSU and WRKF in B.R., FM radio doesn't play what I want to hear. At all.
Maybe it's different in other places. But in the Deep South, this is the case.

Their property is ducked off and they don't have kids if anyone was wondering.

You're dead on about the pop stations. I was forced to listen to 102.5 all day a while back and it was the same half dozen or so crappy songs played again and again. But it's been that way since the early '80s as far as I can remember.
As far as FM stations go, besides 91.1 I've been really digging 88.3 KPCP out of New Roads. Blues, jazz, zydeco. Definitely worth streaming.

Like power 92.3 in little rock. The music scene is basically based around this station in LR, they play all the new joints.

What are you hearing on wwoz that is so good? I'm not a jazz guy, they have other segments too, obviously. But I never stay on that station long. If I'm not on talk radio I'm probably on WTIX
