I'm really struggling to think of an album with a better track list or one that stands the test of time like this one does. I think it's the dark horse GOAT album.

It's in my top 3. I have my old man's original vinyl... love hearing that 30+ minute Mountain Jam on the record player.

I've got it up there with Physical Graffiti as two of my top 3.

I'm jealous of that, I need to go through my dad's old vinyls to see if he has it. Physical Graffiti is a phenomenal album as well, that sounds like a solid top 3.

My pop had a lot of Marshall Tucker, Allmans, Leon Russell, Gordon Lightfoot...I got to take my pickins first, took all the heaters.

I put on Eat a Peach all the time, twist up a j-bird and front porch things for a bit.

Not even the best ABB album - do you even (Live) At the Fillmore East, bro?

That Whipping Post from Fillmore has been known to induce eargasms.

Obviously, and while I love it I realize that most people prefer studio to live recordings. EAP blends the two together and appeals to a larger audience.

I love the ABB and I love EAP - (Melissa could be the greatest southern rock song in history) - BUT, (L)AFE is a masterpiece - the ABB's masterpiece, IMHO.

Ya know, Eat a Peach is right up there with Fillmore East but I would give the nod to Fillmore East.

Fillmore East kicked arse from the 1st song (Statesboro Blues)all the way to Whipping Post. I would also throw Dark Side of the Moon in for consideration. All three of those album would generally make it to the turn table during an all night weed smoking, beer swilling party back in the 70's.

Just think if Dickey could have toned down his alcohol and drug consumption, makes you wonder how much more magic he could have produced, still one of my top 5 guitarists. Dickey and Duane's imagination and tone are untouchable.

it has always bummed me out that Blue Sky wasn't played live more with the original band. The one recording I have heard is awesome, it is built perfectly for dicky and duane to trade solos.

I love Eat a Peach

I'm sure you know the song was written by Dickey about an ole lady of his...they probably got in a drunken, shouting beatdown that Dickey most likely won...she prolly said "hey, DICKhead, quit playing that gotdamned song you wrote about me" ...or something like that.

One of my favs, but OK Computer will always be GOAT to me.

Also have my dad's first pressing of Eat a Peach with the original insert.

It's a legitimate candidate. This always comes down to personal preference and there are several I'd rate higher. But not by very much.

No....but it's a very good album.

I bought it the day it was released and still have the double vinyl. We listened to it on our senior trip in the Smokey Mountains, and yes they were smokey!

The Live at the Atlanta International Pop Festival is also top notch. There are two CDs that have basically the same songs, but very different. They changed things up every night from what I understand and you can listen.

Greg's voice is so much clearer on these tracks than the Fillmore East.
