I agree, but I wouldn't call Imagine Dragons "indie" under any scenario.

Not denying they've worked hard to get to where they are. That still doesn't change that their music is straight-up pop rock with some electronic influences mixed in.

And the fact that one of their "lucky breaks" was filling in for Train doesn't help your cause.

I saw Wilco at hangout last year and was not impressed at all.

Either brilliant troll or poster has no soul. I was there, and thought it was incredible. Not sure how a ginger such as yourself made it three days on the beach without burning alive.

But this isn't about your shitty taste in things, this is about Imagine Dragon fans' shitty taste in things. Let's stay on topic. "Indie" can mean a lot of things, Imagine Dragons is none of those things.

Boyce Avenue does it much better anyway.

Exactly, it's that faux-arena rock sound that's catchy, then annoying, then excruciating. Clean-cut, Abercrombie Nickleback. Lots of folks are gonna look back on this band with regret.

I agree with almost everything you said except I think they are not as bad as Nickelback

I caught onto them way before they got to what they are now and got a chance to see them live.. Very good at first, but doesn't really have the staying power.

IMO, they got too big, too quick.
