I'm Starting to Question the Musical Tastes of Most Posters on this Board

It must be an age thing...
What say you, Music Board contributors?
Oh, and here's an incredibly small sample of music from my music library (feel free to be a hater):
Charles Mingus - Mingus Dynasty
Mark Knopfler - (everything)
Highwaymen - the Essential Highwaymen
Fatoumata Diawara - Sawa
Graveyard - Hisingen Blues
Stereolab - Sound Dust
Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See
Myron & E - Broadway
Pinback - (everything)
Santo and Johnny - Sleepwalk
Simply Red - Picture Book (Holding Back the Years)
Loreena McKennitt - (everything)
Van She - Idea of Happiness
Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads
BT - ESCM
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
The Sounds - Dying to Say This To You
Stone Temple Pilots - Thank You
Townes Van Zandt - Delta Momma Blues
Alice in Chains - Unplugged
...and I would be remiss to not include:
Tool - (everything)
Radiohead - (everything)
Manowar - Triumph of Steel
Outkast - ATLiens
Sade - Love Deluxe, Lovers Rock, and Best of Sade
This is just an incredibly small sample size. I chose to not include most classic rock, 80s rock/pop, 90s grunge rock, classical, soundtracks, electronic, and world.

Don't you like creed and alterbridge?

The fact that Phish is the most loved band on here is a good sign

There's a wide variety of genres represented here at any given time. There's nothing bad about that IMO.

This board has everything from high school kids to grandparents posting. The musical taste are going to be all over the place.

There isn't enough discussion of Yanni or Zamfir on this board.

Yeah, I guess that 50 page Phish thread with about 1000 responses is just an illusion.
Dumbfrick.

The same 5 people circle jerking one band doesn't make them the most popular or favorite band of the board.
And your silly little insults are funny.

Leave Yanni out of this discussion. He's incredible.
Also, Tori Amos, Loreena McKennitt, Cocteau Twins, Stereolab, and Enya should be exempt from criticism.

Phish
Unofficially the Official Band of the Music Board.
Besides the respect for Phish, the only other position with unanimous board support is that Mumford is sleep-inducing.

This board would be FAR better if the unofficial official board band was Tool.
People who like Tool seem to have an incredible and diverse taste in music.
People who like Phish seem to have an incredible and diverse taste in jam band music, which sucks.

Sounds like one of your stupid alt cuntry reddirt threads.
There have been over 150 unique posters in the Phish thread.

I actually enjoy Tool and listened to Aenima during my run yesterday. Doesn't mean I can't appreciate a band like Phish that doesn't follow preconceived notions of what a band should do with respect to tours and studio albums. Unlike Tool, they actually appreciate their fans.

I hate, HATE when people assume this. It is even worse than when phans get stereotyped for drug use.
I guarantee I have a more diverse library and listening habits than you. Phish is the only jam band I listen to on a constant basis (and a bit of JGB).
