I appreciate their talent and what they did for rock but I just don't really like any of their songs.

Come at me

To each their own but I tell ya you'll never hear or discover more brilliant and fascinating melodies than those composed and recorded by Lennon/McCartney/Starr/Harrison and their harmonies OMG

To compare the Beatles, even their 1960-65 version, IN ANY WAY to the Backstreet Boys is an insult to music, the Beatles' legacy, and musicianship

Pretty much the same here. I respect their songwriting abilities and even enjoy a few of their songs, but for the most part I just never a big fan.

i agree with this. I was going to post something similar. there is a LOT of Beatles material that nevers get played on the radio.

Their best selling album was Sgt Pepper's followed by Abbey Road and you think people only know the mop top Beatles? The top selling single is I want to hold your hand but out of the top 5, 3 are post mop top songs. Hey Jude, Get Back, We can work it out.

Rock n Roll isn't for everyone.

I hated country music as a kid, because all my family listened to was Hank Sr, Johnny, Merle... but I eventually listened beyond what was commercially played ad nauseum.

Beatles are the Babe Ruth of rock. No one will ever equal them.

To me the Beatles and the Rolling Stones are to rock music what Mozart and Beethoven are to art music. They are true classicists and have elevated music to a level that has become the standard of its genre.
