I just finished this and wow, it was very well done and super emotional. Being 25, I didnt really know much about Glen other than a few of his well known songs like Wichita Lineman, Southern Nights, etc., but this documentary really made me appreciate how talented he really was. For those who havent watched it, it follows his farewell tour after his diagnosis with Alzheimer's in 2011 I believe. He later died in 2017.
Watching someone so alive and talented basically fading away in front of you to the point where they dont even know where they are really reminded of my own mortality and how cruel Alzheimer's is.
My favorite Glen Campbell song of all time has to be Gentle On My Mind however I'm including links to the two most emotional songs in the documentary for me, the first is his final song ever and the second is a song done by his daughter, Ashley.

Because my grandmother L-O-V-E-D Glen Campbell, I spent the first 3 or 4 years of life listening to a lot of his stuff. As far as I know, Gentle On My Mind was her favorite song. It was the first "popular" song I kind of knew the tune, melody and most of the words and the first one I have any awareness.

I watched this in 2015 or 2016 and was very moved by it. My own father had just passed a couple of years before and suffered with Alzheimer's and both he and Campbell were about the same age.

This may be a treat for you, then. Keep in mind that a lot of the great country pickers are watching him in awe in this clip.

Gentle On My Mind

He was one of the most talented country players and probably the #1 who crossed over. Overall, within country, probably only Chet Atkins was a better player, song-for-song.

I'm like you, he was before my time but I knew of the hits. Watched this doc a few months back and was very touched by it. Seemed like a good man and great entertainer.

Wonderful guitarist who was also a member of the Wrecking Crew I believe. I know he is credited with playing on some Beach Boys albums before going on tour with them.

Wichita Lineman gets me every single time.

He and Tanya Tucker got in a cocaine induced fight at the La Bossier in Bossier City. That documentary is great BTW.

So true. Waylon and WIllie knew they were in the presence of guitar greatness. Roy Clark takes a back seat to few, and he knew how good Glen was, and Gene Watson sitting right behind just kinda laughed at the end of the break. Glen was a COMPLETE entertainer...not many like him who can do everything.

Glen Campbell, Roy Clark, and Jerry Reed, three of the most underrated guitar players of all time. All three could hold thier own with anyone. They primarily played country music so they didn't get as much recognition for their musical ability as Clapton, Hendrix and Page did.
