I watched Pink Floyd's The Wall The other day... had not seen it in at least 20 years.

The graphics are pretty dated by today's standards, but I still really enjoyed it.

Bob Geldof was a great choice for this movie.

Brought back good memories of going to the midnight showings for this movie and Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same back in the late 70's.

Any other fans of this, and rock movies in general ?

I did acid and watched it at a theater when it came out. Weird trip.

I think the graphics are timeless. They used real animation. Thank God there wasn't shitty CGI of the 90's and early 2000's at the time they made it.

For those not in the know, Bob Geldof was the lead singer for the Boomtown Rats.

Ironically, gun violence has soared in this country and this song is as pertinent as ever. Also ironically, Bob's daughter Peaches died on a Monday.

100%.

Gerald Scarfe has a style that, while it doesn't appeal to me, can never be "dated" and works exceedingly well for the context in The Wall. I'm far from an art expert but to me his work reminds me a lot of another Englishman Ralph Steadman, known for his frequent collaboration with Hunter S Thompson and who does the graphic work for Flying Dog brewery.

The Secret Policeman's Other Ball version is very good.

Had a psych professor that made us watch it at Tech. Always loved the music, but was never a big fan of the film.

I honestly think the movie is for the fans. If you are not a huge Floyd fan, you probably wont like it. It was a great way to connect fans with the album

We did weed and shrooms all weekend on a guys golf trip and watched it one night. The solo in Uncomfortably Numb was amazing that night.

It was my first time watching it. It was an experience. Weird as hell.
