...and it was very meh (Saenger New Orleans)... Cookie cutter show that followed the exact song list from every show on the tour. The popular songs were all played at the end to keep all the 49 year old women from leaving the theater early. It was pretty damn loud in the Saenger and the lights were blinding most people.

But a friend called me earlier today and offered me a ticket, so we went and enjoyed it for what it was.

Did you sanctify yourself up on the catwalk?

I like simple minds, but not a huge fan of them. That being said, they had a lot more than 2 hits. Alive and kicking, sanctify, don't you forget about me, all the things she said, and a few more that slips my mind. (it's been 30+ years).

Simple Minds, Tears for Fears, OMD, General Public, and Psychedelic Furs all had pretty big hits (mainly from Soundtracks) when I was in HS during the mid 80's. Still listen to 1st Wave on occasion which brings up lots of memories. I was a heavy metal freak back in the day as most of the girls listened to the aforementioned bands.

You are either in one of 2 camps.

You went to hear a song that comes on daily in department stores, pop radio, and drug stores. And you also knew Alive and Kicking.

Or

You went hoping to hear a ton from the first 3 to 4 albums. That Cold War sound.

But if they played new songs the entire show up until the end, bad on them.

You know why Patsy Kensit married Jim Kerr and Liam Gallagher?

She's in to Simple Minds
