On playing guitar: “It's a human playing a tree. Three chords on a guitar: now write a song. I only know 11! But I tell you what, God help you when i find the 12th!”

If there were gold medals for taking drugs for England I would have won a shitload."

On the Beckhams: “Why is Posh Beckham writing a fricking book of her memoirs? she can't even chew chewing gum and walk in a fricking straight line at the same time, let alone write a book.”

On U2: "Play ‘One’, shut the frick up about Africa."

On drugs: “I still tell people that the 'Be Here Now' album is the best advertisement against taking cocaine. It goes on too long, it's smothered by its self of self-importance - the same as coke users are.”

On lyrics: "I write the first line and the end word, 'Supersonic', it's like, 'Well, what rhymes with that?' And you start off with 'A' and you go, 'Atomic. Bionic.' Then you go...'Gin & Tonic. Alright, that'll do.' It's no big deal. You just write it down, and people go 'Wow! Feeling Supersonic...Give me Gin and Tonic. Wow!' Basically, cos it rhymes

on Radiohead "I reckon if Thom Yorke fricking shite into a light bulb and started blowing it like an empty beer bottle it’d probably get 9 out of 10 in fricking Mojo."

“I go back to this: Fame is fricking wasted on these people. The new generation of rock stars, when have they ever said anything that made you laugh? When have they ever said anything you remember? People say, ‘They’re interesting.’ Interesting! That’s a word that’s crept in to music: ‘Yeah, man. Have you heard the new Skrillex record?’ ‘No.’ ‘Yeah, man. It’s really interesting.’ I don’t want interesting! Rock ‘n’ roll’s not about that. To me, it’s about fricking utter gobshites just being fricking headcases. Well, not headcases. But what I want, genuinely, is somebody with a fricking drug habit, who’s not Pete Doherty. Do you know what I mean?”

This. Liam is horrible.

Noel takes shots at everyone, but his dry humor is hilarious and 99% of the time he's just joking around.

Own that on dvd. I love it. The song and video commentaries are the best. Noel just rips everything they did.

Mates, this thread made me super nostalgic. I've seen Oasis 4 times and Noel once. The first time was in Dallas after "What's the Story" came out and they were at their absolute pinnacle, but it was in this shitty venue (Bronco Bowl?) My favourite time was in Milwaukee in 2006 at the Riverside Theater - LIam was awesome that night - super cool and just the right amount of drunk. Me last two times I saw them were both in Chicago and they weren't so good - the last concert is when I met Liam at Saks - I was in for both the Saints/Bears game (the night this picture was taken) and then I saw Oasis the next night.

Here's article about new album Noel is working on - he's playing a few of the chunes at his upcoming gigs, innit?

Noel Gallagher on new Bowie-influenced album: "I remain totally fricking awesome"

Gallagher also suggested that there is a David Bowie influence on his new music. After recently naming his favourite Bowie songs, Noel has also admitted that one of the new songs borrows from Bowie's 'The Jean Genie'.

"I've nicked a little bit of that," Gallagher said. "The 'woo-hoo!'. You'll hear that sooner or later in one of my tracks."

Asked of his plans for 2016, Gallagher replied: "I remain fricking totally awesome. In 2016, I'm as awesome as I was in the back end of 2015. My hair is impeccable; it's not showing any signs of thinning, at all. I'm frickin' thriving. Thriving!"

Speaking previously about his next album, Gallagher said last year: "From what I’ve done at the moment, sonically it sounds different, but it will still be very melodic and all that."

I always felt like "Acqueisce" was the most Oasis-y Oasis song.
