How Early on the Pop Punk Scene Was Face to Face?

Here's a video of "Disconnected," from their 1992 Don't Turn Away album--two years before the smash release of Green Day's Dookie. "Disconnected" has to be a contender for the most high-spirited pop-punk song of all time.

They were there right at the start of skate punk taking over the scene. They were contemporaries of Green Day and Descendants.

They never really resonated with me.. This is a big generalization, but I typically didnt care for SoCal punk bands that came around after the early/mid 80s
GD's Kerplunk was prior to this release.. and that was a landmark record in the underground pop punk world...
The Descendents were in the generation of pop punk bands before GD and F2F..
