Great doc. Think about how many great songs they had in a less than 10 year run in the 70's. The majority of the hate they get is by hipsters in the last 20 years who go off the running joke about them in the Big Lebowski. There is nothing wrong with liking The Eagles.

Although Don Henley is just an insufferable miserable prick. It would be tough to be around him all the time. The David Geffen scene describing him was spot on.

P.S. I still refuse to support this Eagles cover band reunion with Frye's son & Vince Gill.

I'm a big fan of the eagles.
Two things I took away from HoE is how much randy meisner added to the band, and how big of an a-hole glenn frey was.

People who say there is something wrong with it are fricking retards. It's easy to criticize, but hard to create. I would love to see these critics create something equal to to the Eagles' catalog. It's brilliance through and through. All of them -- every member -- was a top notch musician and almost all of them were exceptional vocalists. Their vocal harmonies were on par with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys.

They were a supergroup that was super before any of them were solo (the opposite of most supergroups).

Yes but he's also a brilliant songwriter and vocalist. Oh and he's not bad on drums. I don't give a frick about his off-stage persona. Axl Rose is a fricking prick and a maniac off-stage, but I like him anyway.

Great documentary. It’s been on Netflix a few times and the musical mix sounds great on a decent system.

Watched it when it first came out and loved it. Tuned in last night after it got started and couldn’t stop watching.

Joe Walsh is way smarter than he used to look. Very perceptive fellow about the personalities and conflicts within the band.

I just recently read that they're still paying a ton of money to Don Felder on a regular basis and at one point, he was worth more than Glen Frey. I guess he's happy with the way things ended.

...but damn he was a great guitar player.
