It may be obvious but of course Neil Young & Crazy Horse, particularly the album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, Zuma, Rust Never Sleeps, Ragged Glory, and Psychedelic Pill.

BTW, Scofield is also prominent in "overplayed grateful dead cover songs" as a part of Phil & Friends.

Anders sounded great with phil last weekend, id love to see a phil and friends with anders and sco.
Also, i wish the sco mmw tour was coming this way, i really dig their new album.

Solid suggestion. I listened to Clearlight the other night on a whim. Fantastic front to back.
