I would agree with this article. Most of what is played on country radio today is that stereotypical stuff. It's just the way the music BUSINESS is. It's about making money and that's the way to do it. Pump out hit after hit.

What kills me is that there is good mainstream country music out there. You'll here a really good song on the radio and like it but you will never hear it again. David Nail for instance. He had two killer actual country songs in a row. Redlight and Let It Rain. I heard them maybe a combined five times on the radio. Granted I dont listen to country much anymore due to knowing what this article is talking about 5 years ago. Pandora gives me my fix. But who are the country fans listening to Colt Ford and Luke Bryan? Nobody I know but thats all you hear on the radio. Colt Ford is an abomination.

To truly enjoy music, you have to be able to relate to it.

People listen to this crap because they feel like it helps them project an image of themselves.

Yeah Lee Brice has a new song like that. I Drive Your Truck Not the best song ever, but much better than most crap they now play. But I've only heard it 1-2 times on the radio

I like Luke Bryan, but yeah Colt Ford other than the 2 song I said earlier are an abomination. Country and everything else is going too much toward the women. I was listening to Miss 103 in Jackson today and 4 songs in a row were about girls wanting to hurt the guy that cheated on them. Stop dating assholes then and for the love of God please stop writing songs about it.
