Never been. Curious what the lineup is. I'm sure there probably are rumors only now, since the lineup hasn't been released.

Also, what was it like last year?

I have been all three years, and its been three of the most fun weekends of my life. For me, last year was the most fun out of the three, which was surprising, because I wasn't too terribly pumped about the lineup.

Hot girls in bikinis, drugs, booze, and really good music on the beach...you can't really beat it.

Being able to stay at a condo(as opposed to camping out like most other festivals) is better, IMO. Its much more relaxing. I recommend booking one within walking distance.

As far as police presence, just don't do anything dumb and you should be fine.

Not really sure who is rumored to play at this point, but the lineup will be announced in the next few weeks. I CANNOT WAIT.

I went 2 years ago and it was a wild time. A lot of fun. Pretty much what the poster before me said. Sun, sand, drugs, booze, bikinis...not much more you can ask for. Hoping to go back this year too

hijack: Does LSU still wear basketball jerseys like the ones they are wearing in your avatar? Those are pretty sweet.

Popped my cherry last year and had an amazing time. Getting to see Wilco at sunset on the beach still gives me a boner thinking about it. As far as rumors, the internet is saying Tom Petty a lot, hopefully the Lips will be there again as they have been there every year, Mumford is a pretty popular rumor and a shite ton of others that seem less credible. But if you plan on going regardless of the lineup, I'd suggest getting a place now because once they announced it last year the condos went pretty quick.

This was definitely one my favorite concert experiences ever. All of my crew wanted to go to Umphrey's, and I wanted to see Wilco, so I went by myself. Sometimes going alone is better. No distractions. Ended up getting really close, and the show was amazing. The Misunderstood, Poor Places opener as the sun going down, like you said, was special. You could tell the band was having a blast too.
Here is the full show for anyone interested:

Haha I wish they still did man. Those were my favorite. We have some really wack ones that sport the tight jersey/loose shorts look. Not a fan of the current unis

Dude, I watched that youtube video at least twenty times over the last year. Any chance that they might be coming back? Between them and Gogol last year, I wasn't even interested in the headliners by the time they rolled around.

Went the past 2 years and it was amazing. Dave Matthews band on the beach at night drunk as hell with a couple j's was one of the best times of my life

Same thing with Paul Simon the year before

I went two years ago and it was a damn good time. I definitely want to go back this year and I haven't even heard who's rumored to play.

Dude, that was an awesome time when Paul Simon closed 2 years ago. Still have a bunch of videos on my phone from it.

Absolutely. Me and my buddies got to the stage early as shite and bought about six 16ozers each and camped out in the sand with the hippies in about the 3rd row. great show

The Paul Simon show was one of my favorites too. Incredible ending to the weekend. He played this song too, which is one of my favorites: LINK

It was a dance party.

We have gone with a group the past two years and had a blast. This year we bought early bird tickets because we came to realize we are gonna have a blast regardless of who is playing. Don't make any amateur moves regarding sneaking things in and you'll be fine. If you come in looking like a wook, they are gonna search you at the gate. My husband's favorite part is probably a tie between the bikinis and music.

Cee lo was late and he was awful. Foo fighters rocked. 2011 was the best year IMO.
