I fricking despise GVF, but that opening band Shannon & the clams is a lot of fun. A lo-fi punk doo-wop vibe. I’d go for them and leave before the little garden gnome takes the stage.

When I listened to their full album, while a lot of songs sound like Zeppelin, a lot of them don't sound anything like Zeppelin.
Even if they are a "ripoff", for sounding too much like my favorite band of all time, is hardly a reason for me to dislike them. I absolutely love Led Zeppelin. I want to sound like Led Zeppelin. I hate the fact that most "alt" rock these days sounds so little like Led Zeppelin. The surviving members of Zep won't get back together and tour, so I'm more than happy to see something like Led Zeppelin instead.
Also, I love Rush. When they first started out, people accused their breakout hit "Working Man" of sounding too much like Led Zeppelin. To me, that's like hating on a fried chicken restaurant for tasting too much like Popeye's spicy. That's the best chicken!!!

I hate GVF because I saw their singer wearing Flip Flops while playing on SNL a few weeks ago. Not having a rock star wearing Flip Flops, it is unacceptable.

well this is where we have a drastic difference in the idea of what it means to be an artist and an innovative musician.
