i noticed this last night and was super stoked that baton rouge will be showing the movie. My first taste of the dead was the show they put out from the farm in Oregon a couple of years ago. My buddy get's me to go with him to the movie. we had to help to old dead heads operate the automated ticket booth. half way thru the show they both stood up and started dancing in the isles they couldn't sit anymore. good times with the dead even at the movies!

Been listening to that show quite a bit at work. I have been rotating through a few shows of JRAD and Dead/Co, as well as Dicks Picks 8, 16, and Europe 72. And a bunch of JGB acoustic stuff.

Still can't get off Dicks Picks Vol. 8. That acoustic first set just plays to my heart.

Right now I'm listening to 10-01-1989 (I was born the next day on the 2nd) at Shoreline.

Just started Ramble on Rose. The set list intrigues me.

Jack Straw,
Ramble On Rose,
Walkin' Blues,
Built To Last,
When I Paint My Masterpiece,
A Little Light,
Cassidy,
Don't Ease Me In
Hell In A Bucket,
Scarlet Begonias-> Women Are Smarter,
He's Gone-> Drums-> Jam-> The Other One-> Wharf Rat-> Turn On Your Love Light

july 1, 1978
arrowhead stadium, KC

Bertha
Good Lovin'
Tennessee Jed
Jack Straw
Friend Of The Devil
Me And My Uncle
Big River
Terrapin Station
Playin' In The Band
Drums
Space
Estimated Prophet
The Other One
Wharf Rat
Around And Around

Encore:
Johnny B. Goode

a single set show + encore, the dead were on a bill with others for willie nelson's july 4th bash. this one starts hot and then completely immolates your brain

part of the july 78 boxed set (still available); i find myself preferring 1978 to 1977 more and more as i listen my way thru the year. the playing and singing is much more aggressive and the band in clearly having fun

Today's listening: Shady Grove by Garcia/Grisman. Loving the album.

Edit: just finished. The banter from Jerry on the hidden track at the end is fricking gold.

Been listening to JRAD from 10/03/2015.

The Scarlet>Fire might be one of my favorites ever. Benevento on the keys during Fire had me hooting and hollering in the car the other day.

YouTube Video: LINK - 19:47 is when Marco goes insane on the keys.

Highlight jrad moment imo. I so wish i was there that night. Watching joey with his arms in the air chanting MARCO is great.

Ive watched that video countless times.

I went fricking bonkers in my car when I heard this line.

I need to watch the whole video. I just thought to look it up on YouTube at work. Skipped to the solo. The crowd and the band are clearly just in awe of what he's doing. And then it just gets rowdy as hell coming out of his solo. fricking love it.

Edit: just watched the full Scar>Fire. That shite is insane. I mean...wow. Time to watch it again I think.

August 31st can't come soon enough! JRAD at the Rocks w/ Oteil filling in!
