Toyota Center. Anyone see him recently? I know Covid hit pause for 18 mos.

I’ve never seen him. Wish it was a smaller theater type venue. But wish in one hand……

Should I expect a shell of his former self and a short show. Or a well rested old fella whose still got it?

He'll give you a great show.

Hope so.

I plan on bringing binoculars to ogle the guitars. Lol

Maybe. He put on a terrible show in New Orleans in 2010

I agree… was there in 2010. He said absolutely nothing. Seemed like he was having a miserable time.

I saw him in Birmingham and it was one of the worst concerts. He did not seem like he was enjoying it. Maybe he was in a funk.

Never read that 2010 review but remember walking out feeling pretty mixed. I think he captured it with everything being technically sound and even a robotic Clapton being better than most.... but the expectation was high and it did not deliver the expected experience.

The oddball solid performance that was simultaneously underwhelming

I saw him in 2015 at Jazzfest and he still had it, was clearly inspired that day and put on a great show

If he has another guitarist or lead singer with him, he’s better. I don’t remember Doyle or Paul Carrack being with him in 2010, but they were there for the much improved next time.

After his terrible show in New Orleans in 2010 Clapton came back and put on a good show in 2013. He was okay at Jazzfest in 2014 but his Jazzfest set was closer to 2010 than 2013.
