high times in the Windy City, lads.
Pumped to hear “Little By Little”, my favourite Oasis song that I’ve never heard live before.
Noel’s three solo albums are top - as good as any Oasis album save for WTSMG.
anybody else planning to catch this tour?

Now with 3/5ths + keyboards of last variation of Oasis, it's definitely Oasis-lite which is pretty great. Gem's been good since coming back on board.
I didn't like the new album at first, but it has grown on me big time. Only songs I don't really like are Holy Mountain and Keep on Reaching. The rest are very, very good and sound great live.
They played Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me (first since 2012) and The Right Stuff (first time ever) on the last few gigs. Go Let it Out is back for first time since like 2003.
Really, really liking this tour so far. Excited to see a lot of these songs live.

Ditto - he’s been starting the shows with the first 5 from the new album which I’m pumped about.
Sad about the mix he’s chosen from his first two solo albums - he basically picked most of me least favourites.
Praying for a “Live Forever” miracle as well as “Dying of the Light”, neither of which he’s played on this tour.
Bout to hop on the train to Chicago with the misses - have a boozy dinner then some mj and ale at the show

I mean, lets hear a full review baw!
I assume no DOTL, which is my favorite track of Noel's solos besides Ballad of the Mighty I and definitely not Live Forever...but give us some info!

No dying of the light :(
His choice of songs from his first two solo albums is confounding - most of my favourites were left off. Dream on was really well received - but it’s one that I don’t love as much as most. I really missed hearing lock all the doors, DOTL and Everybody’s on the run (probably my favorite live song).
Best songs from the new album were it’s a beautiful world and dead in the water. Best Noel songs were If I had a gun and heat of the moment, but the latter was lacking the chimes effect that made it so great on last tour.
Little by little was the soaring epic singalong I’d hoped for, and go let it out was surprisingly rollicking. Wonderwall and DLBIA were great but I’m spoiled and have heard each a ton.
Look out for the weird bowl-cutted French lady who is in the video for Holy Mountain. She plays the fife and the. She speaks in French as an effect in Beautuful. Really awkward and fun to watch.

Songs Noel's Played This Tour (IMO)
Fort Knox (ok)
Holy Mountain (hate)
Keep on Reaching (grower, possibly, dislike now)
It's a Beautiful World (BANGER)
She Taught Me How to Fly (ok)
In the Heat of the Moment (least fav song from 2nd album)
Riverman (good song-ish)
Ballad of the Mighty I (best song off 2nd album)
If I Had a Gun... (boring...over it)
Dream On (shite)
Little by Little (banger)
The Importance of Being Idle (give me another song, same shite every tour)
Dead in the Water (great)
Be Careful What You Wish For (such a weird choice...where's Black and White Sunshine)
Half the World Away (great song, love it, but over it...want different Oasis b-sides..)
Wonderwall (this shitty cover? uggh)
AKA... What a Life! (over it...)
Encore:
Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me (YA TRICK YA)
The Right Stuff (finally has the right band for this one)
Go Let It Out (good Liam song, ok noel song)
Don't Look Back in Anger (ELECTRIC VERSION PLEASE)
All You Need Is Love (sure, whatever)
All in all, still not overly impressed with this tour setlist. It rarely changes and is infuriating to say the least that I've seen Noel now 5 times these last few tours and heard literally 10 songs 4+ times. That's stupid and lazy. Dream On is garbage shite, What a Life is not that good. Wonderwall in the shitty Ryan Adams version is shitty. Half the World Away is great and all, but seriously, the back catalogue needs to be looked into. Love Little By Little too, but he did it last tour or the last, can't remember. Importance of Being Idle is garbage too imo.
Also, the songs from the new album he picked are not the most strong ones, don't understand that at all. At least he looks like he's having fun.
I love Everybody's on the Run and it's way better than Dream On, which is shite (have I mentioned that?)
Again, not surprised as the Chief is lazy as frick and couldn't give a shite less about us. Still will see him 2+ times this tour because I'm a dumb frick and always hope against hope he'll do something special.

Everybody’s on the Run is right in Noel’s wheelhouse vocally and I really really missed it. He’s got underrated pipes.
And yeah go let it out is the most Liam song there is aside from Roll with it - but Noel nailed it

I've switched from Team Noel all these years to Team Liam this past year. Not having the scissors and cosmic pop shite. Parka Monkey all the way now.

What’s the instrumentation like when he is live? Last album had too much electronic/production for me. Noel acoustic is fantastic though

Was there an opening act?

It’s time for those two dickheads to bury the hatchet and bring back OASIS

Wait is Liam’s album seriously worth checking out? He’s got really mediocre creative talent IMO. Noel is 90% of Oasis - Liam was the logo and the voice
