Saw em live at End Fest '99.

Not bad.

the dueling drums thing with the drummer and the lead singer they do is pretty cool.

If I was forced to choose within that awful genre, I'd rather listen to Staind

Agreed. I saw them at Voodoo way back when and was impressed. I hadn't given them a chance before then.

Staind is awful and their live show is boring. I saw them with Godsmack twice last year. The singer's voice is annoying and their setlist was bad.

The way I see it, there were three categories of rock at that time (newer to the mainstream scene musicians):

Hard rock/metal with synths:
Stabbing Westward
Econoline Crush
Orgy
Fear Factory
Static X
Soilwork

Hard rock/metal with t-tables and rapping:
Limp Bizkit
Incubus
Deftones
Korn
Crossbreed

"Hard rock"
Mudvayne
Godsmack
Disturbed
Cold
Staind
Jaw Breaker

Just some examples I can think of. AT one time, sure -- these artists were in my cd player. Now, in near 2014, I can say I can stomach about 3 of them. Funny how you grow out of stuff.

Used to like this band a lot, I tried to listen to one of their albums the other day and it was terrible. I could hardly listen to the first song.

Mudvayne is far more talented than the rest of these

Same here. I had a "how the hell did I ever listen to this stuff moment?" Funny how we grow out of shite and our tastes evolve over time.

this thread is nothing but a bunch of suck.

people still listen to that stuff? the only time in my life that I listened to that genre was my senior year of high school at baseball practice. that was 11 years ago.
