Ghost concert in Dallas

Love Ghost as a band and dig their music, but really wanted to see them live because I heard their shows are amazing. Was finally able to see them at the Dallas Fair Park Coliseum last night.
Amazing show. They sounded great, but the acoustics in the old building let them down a little. Tobias Forge/Papa Emeritus IV is an amazing performer who really let the Nameless Ghouls shine (ironic, I know) in their solos. Only thing I'd complain about was that the set seemed really short. I felt like they were only on for about an hour or maybe 90 minutes. None of the songs they played were unknown songs, but felt like they left some great ones off the set list. Either way, I'd highly recommend. I brought my wife who knows 2 songs by them and my friend brought his girlfriend who knew 0 songs and they both thought it was an amazing show.
If they are ever back in town or come close to Dallas, I'd see them again.

I didn't know they still had bands play there with all the new venues about that size around dfw.

Go watch Watain when they come back around. If you want the reality of what Ghost is pretending to be.

Not ideal, but better than any of the outdoor venues given it was 28 degrees last night. American Airlines would have been great, but not sure Ghost has a following that big. I would think they do, but there's got to be a reason it was at Fair Park last night and in Sugarland the night before instead of a big venue in Houston.

Definitely one of the most entertaining shows I’ve seen in recent years

Ghost is cringey. Terribly cringey.

The tour with Volbeat is a shorter setlist I believe.

Well Roger you will likely consider this blasphemous but I can definitely hear some similarities to BOC in their music, particularly with the keys and synth backgrounds and the vocal harmonies. In fact I already had this view and then one day read a review stating the same so there seems to be at least a little something to it. Knowing how much you like BOC I figure you’re scoffing right about now. Check these out though and see what you think.

Saw them in Sugar Land about a month ago. They were incredible live and I also left a fan of Volbeat. Great night all around.
