It's easy to forget some of his greatest that never get air time anymore, so post some of your favorites. It's scary to think how much worse modern country could be without his influence.

Great song. Actually heard it on the radio today. The only redeeming quality of this particular area of Alabama is having an FM station that plays real country.

Modern country would be much better if it wasn't for George Strait

If you'll buy that, I'll throw the golden gate in for free

You Want a stranger

Nobody In His Right Mind

If I Know Me

Chill Of An Early Fall

I like George but his music has gotten kinda bland for me over the years. Got to be in a certain mood to want to hear him.

Yeah, that's probably my favorite Strait song.

I agree. It's pretty rare I listen to him anymore, but hearing that song on the radio earlier got me in the mood for it.

Drinkin' Man, and Poison are really good as far as his new stuff goes.

Surely modern mainstream country music couldn't get much worse.

But I do love me some Strait

I'll go ahead and say it. George's music as of late is borderline complete shite.

Love's Gonna Make it Alright
Here For a Good Time
River of Love

All garbage.

I do like the new one "Drinkin Man"

It's just that my tastes in music has changed. Just like I don't care for outlaw music anymore, I think his music is pretty vanilla as time goes by.

As I mentioned earlier, Poison is also good. But I'll agree that he's put out some absolutely terrible songs as of late.
