Whoa...
Galactic & Tipitina's to launch The Landing Festival. Inaugural event to be held September 26th & 27th at South Shore Harbor on Lake Pontchartrain.
Galactic and legendary New Orleans music venue Tipitina's are joining forces this September 26 & 27 for the inaugural year of THE LANDING MUSIC FESTIVAL - Just minutes outside of downtown at South Shore Harbor on Lake Pontchartrain.
This two day festival will feature incredible national acts and showcase established and rising local stars curated by Galactic and Tipitina’s including:
Grace Potter
CAKE
Dr. Dog
Trampled by Turtles
St. Paul and The Broken Bones
North Mississippi Allstars & Anders Osborne Present: N.M.O.
The Soul Rebels
Rayland Baxter and many more to be announced.

Thats by no means steep for the talent, but considering Jazz Fest only recently crossed the $50 a day threshhold (and people love bitching about that), going to be interesting to watch this play out.

I think I saw $85 for a 2 day pass and $115 if you include Friday night at Tipitina's. I hope it's Grace Potter with her full band.

General Admission: $110 / VIP: $225
2 DAY PASSES
General Admission: $85 / VIP: $190
I wish more events would tell you right off the bat what you get with VIP. Props to BO and crew for laying it all out there on the Hogs site.
3 DAY PASSES - Include a special Friday night Pre-Party at Tipitina's on September 25th
General Admission: $110 / VIP: $225
2 DAY PASSES
General Admission: $85 / VIP: $190

I agree. When VIP includes booze and food or at least beer and food it easily pays for itself if you buy early bird tickets. Shaky Knees didn't release what VIP included until the last minute and they wouldn't let you upgrade. It ended up including beer, food, and viewing areas at every stage. The people in our group who didn't get VIP regretted it all weekend. I drank so much Terrapin that I haven't been able to look at a can since.
