Simon and Garfunkel hands down.

Yes, this song is either you love it or loathe it but one of the greatest songs written.
Bridge

This is from their '69 tour in support of the Bridge Over Troubled Water album, which wasn't released at the time. The crowd had never heard this song but by the sound of their applause, they recognized it's greatness.

Hall and Oates' best song wouldn't make it on a Simon and Garfunkel album

Simon and Garfunkel by a mile.

I enjoy Hall and Oates a little more than S&G but I def recognize that their musicianship and song writing was far superior. I guess H&O is just a little more fun to me I'll try to have a better match up next week. I hadn't put much thought into these first two obviously

That's alright! it's fun. And I would've voted for Manilow too. Barry Manilow Live ('77) is a great album.

I can agree with this. Hall and Oates is just more energetic and more of a disco era type band. S&G I don't know how to even categorize them, they certainly weren't a party band. H&O seems like a better fit for a club or an arena for a concert and S&G an auditorium or theatre venue.

This.

Garfunkel was a freeloader, though.

Some of my favorite S&G songs:

America

I am A Rock

The Boxer

The Dangling Conversation

A Most Peculiar Man

The Only Living Boy In New York

They had so many more great songs.

Oh, my vote is Simon and Garfunkel.
